For the Parents: Mrs. Swint is a certified music specialist at Dowell Elementary. She is also a board certified music therapist who has worked with children, adolescents and adults for more than 30 years. Originally from Virginia, Mrs. Swint has Bachelors in Music therapy from Radford University, a teaching certificate and master's degree from University of West Georgia, and has an Education Specialist degree in instructional technology from West Georgia. Mrs. Swint is also active as a french hornist/ instructor in the Cobb music community.
For the Students:
Mrs. Swint plays guitar, piano, french horn, and loves to sing! Mrs. Swint comes from a long line of musicians. Her father is a trombonist, and her grandfather and great-grandfather were old time piano players. She is married to Kerwin Swint, a political science professor at Kennesaw State University, and the Swint family includes three boys, two dogs, and three cats. Mrs. Swint loves to hike, travel, and read books. Mrs. Swint has traveled to Hungary, Austria, Germany, England, Ireland, Scotland, Holland, Italy, the Czech Republic, Canada and Mexico. She loves to see how people enjoy music in other countries. She is passionate about gelato.... can you find out what this is?
