Grab something to play the rhythms you see! Here is another scene from STOMP! This scene is from the very beginning of the musical. What objects around your house could you use to create rhythms? Create a movement to go along with the rhythms you hear. It's Rhythm week at Dowell Elementary!This week's challenge is to read, learn and play the rhythms in the lesson Step 1: Say the rhythms with ta's and ti's while the video is playing. Sttep 2: Find something to be your rhythm instrument in your house: pot, pans, spoons, recorder, or make your own! Step 3: Play along with your rhythm machine! Once you have mastered your rhythm, watch this awesome clip that originated from the Broadway Musical Stomp! This is the movie version. Don't try this one at home though! One of our favorite songs from chorus this year, this song sums up why it's important for us to take care of the planet and take care of each other.
